Another year another New York Comic Con.\u00a0 But more of it they added a fourth day to the festivities.\u00a0 With the Javits construction winding down they got more space which didn’t translate into more free space.\u00a0 Even more people atteneded this year.\u00a0 They improved crowd control greatly this time for the incoming fans.\u00a0 And as hard as we tried.\u00a0 Panels were very hard to cover, press was pushed aside as they had to wait in regular lines with the fans.\u00a0 So\u00a0 we didn’t have any time to wait for panels.
\nThe only thing we could wait for was the nighttime masquarade.\u00a0 And we waited two hours in line and was able to fight our way to the front only to find that they never cleaned the room out for people who were at the Avenger’s panel\u00a0 previous to us.\u00a0 But regardless we got the photos of the masquarade.<\/p>\n
As for as the New York Anime Festival is concerned.\u00a0 Its got its own little section for the good or bad.\u00a0 The good is they still are making space for NYAF.\u00a0 The bad is they don’t get any of the “Comic Con” traffic.\u00a0 So nobody was exposed to the artist alley except for Anime fans.\u00a0 The NYCC Artist alley was excellent this year in where they placed it.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Other things we loved is they made a whole kids section in the Javits North expansion.\u00a0 They had autograph signings in the back.\u00a0 So in all NYCC was great.\u00a0 We hope to cover NYCC better next year also.\u00a0 The whole rule changes threw us off so we weren’t able to get anything really interesting other than photos.<\/p>\n
