Springfest 2011

News

March 12, 2011

Springfest made it back this year and here’s a quick report on what happened.   The staff got a chance  to reorganize the space from last year and were prepared for the increase of people.   They had a mandatory online registration this year with a limit; eventually, they let walk-ups in the doors when they could.   By the end of the day the convention had approximately 900 people walk through the doors.

The space was utilized much better this year.   They had a decent sized dealers room.  There was also one large room for all the performances.

The convention itself was somewhat disorganized but not to the point of being horrid.   We even helped with their Cosplay Contest.  The host was asked to judge the event but wasn’t told she was going have to run the event at the same time.   Hopefully by next year they’ll work out the kinks of being at full capacity and are able to get more people to participate and run panels.
